Casavant organ of Trois-Rivières to be saved
The Casavant organ at the Church of Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Allégresses has not yet found a buyer since the church was sold. Negotiations are continuing with Maison Casavant. An American church might be interested.
"We're going to try to negotiate an extension with the buyer, I don't know. We are waiting for answers ”. The group in question wanted to demolish the Church and turn it into a pharmacy, says Father Donaldson. Bringing the building up to standard required investments of several million dollars. “They have tested the waters to see if it is possible to keep part of the building."
