Plans by architects Joseph Dalbé Viau and Alphonse Venne for the church Nativité-de-la-Sainte-Vierge in Montreal inspired the public artwork Guy Laramée's Valley of plans (Reconstruction), unveiled on January 31 at BAnQ Vieux-Montréal.

The financial support of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the BAnQ Foundation has enabled the realization of this permanent, original work that highlights the wealth of archival holdings of architects that BAnQ preserves.

The aesthetic beauty of the drawings, the precision of their execution and the ambiguous relationship of Quebecers with their Catholic heritage have been decisive factors for the artist to make his installation from these documents.
