Protecting built heritage: still a long way to go in Quebec

The only city in the province to count on a body like the Planning and Conservation Commission, Quebec has not escaped the demolition of buildings with heritage value. If the situation seems to be under control in historic districts, voices are calling for new powers for the City and a review by the Commission.
