The Member of Parliament for Abitibi-Ouest, Ms. Suzanne Blais, announces, on behalf of the Minister of Culture and Communications, Ms. Nathalie Roy, that financial assistance of $ 5 million has been granted to the Sainte-Thérèse-d 'Cathedral. Avila in Amos for its restoration.
For the government, the aid announced today not only aims to restore a heritage gem intimately linked to the history and identity of the citizens of Amos and Abitibi-Témiscamingue, but it also reflects its desire to support restoration of built heritage of a religious nature in all regions of Quebec.
