Christopher Jackson 1948-2015

It is with regret that the Quebec Religious Heritage Council learned, last Friday, the death of a member of its Board of Directors, Mr. Christopher Jackson.

Mr. Jackson was a member of the Board since 2009 and member of the Organ committee since 1996.

The article by Christophe Huss, in Le Devoir, September 26, rightly mentions that Mr. Jackson "embodied in itself an institution of Montreal's musical life of Quebec and Canada."

We are proud, at the Quebec Religious Heritage Council, to have been able to count on his contributions. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends.

On Sunday, October 18, at 3 p.m., the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal (SMAM) will give a special concert in memory of its former director at Saint-Léon church, 4311 De Maisonneuve Blvd. W., in Westmount.
